A striking terracotta urn with a rounded, vase-shaped body, darkly finished to create a deep, almost black appearance. The surface is richly decorated with gilt relief details, including a classical frieze of figures, draped garlands and sculpted mask handles at either side.

Raised on a decorated pedestal foot and crowned by a broad rim, the urn combines a strong architectural silhouette with theatrical ornament. The contrast between the dark terracotta and the worn gilding gives the piece depth, character and the unmistakable presence of an antique-inspired decorative object.
