A Malachite and Chrysocolla Bowl

A Malachite and Chrysocolla Bowl

cm 21 x 17 x 8

A polished bowl carved from a single block of banded malachite and chrysocolla, hollowed into a natural oval form. The stone moves in deep emerald green and turquoise bands, with concentric rings and botryoidal patterns that read almost like the growth of a landscape. The rough exterior contrasts with the smooth interior, and five small brown felt pads have been applied to the base to protect tabletops. A mineralogical object of remarkable chromatic range, ideal as a centrepiece or a collector's piece.
